AOSS to Host 8th Annual  MGU Student Research Symposium

AOSS is proud to host the 8th annual Michigan Geophysical Union (MGU) student research symposium, sponsored by AOSS and Geological Sciences. The event will be held Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm, in the François-Xavier Bagnoud (FXB) atrium.

About MGU

MGU is a friendly forum designed to showcase and reward outstanding student research in various aspects of Earth, oceanic, atmospheric, and space sciences, as well as foster interdepartmental dialogue and camaraderie.  All faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students are encouraged to attend to learn about the exciting research that is taking place in the UM Earth and Space Science community.

Poster Presentations: Call for Abstracts

Both graduate and undergraduate students are invited to submit a poster!  All posters will be judged and could win up to $1000! To present a poster, please contact Alex Bryan ( by Monday, March 7 (the Monday after spring break) with:

  1. the title of your poster,
  2. a brief abstract summarizing your research, and
  3. the name of your research advisor.

Please include "MGU Abstract" in the subject line of your email.  Details regarding poster preparations will be made available to you upon receipt of your abstract.
