Engineering and science majors earn the highest starting salaries

According to a new survey released by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, science and engineering majors such as AOSS earn the highest starting salaries when compared to liberal arts and business majors.

Aerospace engineering majors, which in this instance includes AOSS, saw an 8.3 percent increase in starting salaries from 2011 to 2012, leading to an average salary of $64,000. This was the largest increase in starting salaries from 2011-2012.

In fact, STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) related jobs are growing 60 percent faster than other fields, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
