Professor Flanner receives NSF CAREER award

The CAREER Program offers NSF’s most prestigious awards in support of junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research, according to the NSF website.

Professor Mark Flanner's CAREER (Faculty Early Career Development) proposal has been chosen for funding from the NSF Arctic Natural Sciences Program.

In a congratulatory letter, NSF stated that Flanner “has well-developed national and international collaborations, participates in the Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Program, contributes to the IPCC process, and volunteers in the organization of society meetings.  All of this bodes well for a career of growing national and international leadership.”

Congratulations Professor Flanner!
