Professor Jablonowski named AMWG Co-Chair

Associate Professor Christiane Jablonowski was recently appointed the new co-chair of the Atmospheric Model Working Group (AMWG), which is an integral part of the Community Earth System Model (CESM) community.

CESM is one of the leading climate models in the U.S. AMWG's overarching goal is to continually develop CESM's atmospheric model component, the Community Atmosphere Model (CAM), which is jointly supported by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) and various Department of Energy (DoE) laboratories.

Jablonowski’s research interests include dynamical cores, climate variability and high-performance computing. She has been an active member of the AMWG for many years.
