Alumnus honored by Michigan Association of Broadcasters

Alumnus Paul Gross (’83), a meteorologist at WDIV in Detroit, received a first place award from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.

The award is for his live climate change webcast that aired on WDIV-TV’s website,

The webcast was designed to discuss the topic without an agenda – viewers submitted questions via the station’s Facebook page, and Gross answered those questions with scientific facts and without bias. Originally scheduled to last thirty minutes, Gross was wrapping things up when the website managing editor ran into the weather office and told him to keep going because so many people were watching.
