Dr. Tucker selected as a new leader in space science

Assistant Research Scientist Orenthal “O.J.” Tucker has been selected as a participant in the US - China Academies of Science Forum for New Leaders in Space Science.

The forum, initiated in 2014, is designed to provide opportunities for a highly select group of young Earth and space scientists from China and the United States to discuss their research activities in an intimate and collegial environment.

Tucker’s research focuses on astrophysics. He has developed computational models to study the dynamics occurring in the upper atmospheres of planetary bodies and uses these simulations to analyze and interpret remote sensing and spacecraft data.

The next forum will be held in May 2016 in Irvine, California.
